Throughout the summer and school breaks, Liz offers riding lessons to the public at her family farm, SCS Ranch, in New Bloomfield. Options for riding lessons: 

  • Traditional riding lessons​

    • $50 per lesson. 40-60 minutes per lesson depending upon the amount of riders in the lesson. 

      •  1-4 riders per lesson​

      • Ages 7 and up​

  • Small fry lead-line rides 

    • $40 per 30-minute lesson. Includes time spent grooming and preparing the horse to ride. 

      •  Ages 4-6

  • Horsemanship Academy

    • $80 per session.​ 2 hour session 

      • Up to 4 students per session

      • Ages 7 and up​

> Liz Haben's Horsemanship Academy is a comprehensive program consisting of a 1-hour riding lesson, followed by a 1-hour lecture and learning session. These sessions are designed not only to teach students how to become exceptional riders but also to provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary to be outstanding equine caretakers, horse owners, trainers, or aspiring professionals in the equine industry.

> Currently under construction at Liz's farm is an in-barn classroom, where students will have the opportunity to acquire new and valuable skills. They will then apply these skills hands-on, both in the barn and with the horses

Lessons at William Woods University

​​​​​​When classes aren't in session, there are options of taking lessons at William Woods University, both for a haul-in lesson on your personal horse or on a school horse. Contact Liz for availability and pricing.
